Better Access for Our Members

We are committed to giving our members the best healthcare experience possible. With new services and better appointment options, we’re making it easier for members to get the care they need, when they need it.

Easier Access to Appointments

We listened to your feedback and made changes for 2025. Scheduling has always been simple, but now members have even more options. In selected areas, primary care appointments are available the same day or next day. Specialty care also has enhanced access, so members can get care faster.

Additionally, Kelsey-Seybold's Virtual Care options allow members to book a convenient video visit or E-visit. With VideoVisitNOW, members can access a provider seven days a week, weekdays, after hours, weekends, and holidays—no appointment is needed.

New Clinics to Serve Members Better

To make care more convenient, we’ve opened two new clinics in the last three months. These clinics bring services closer to where members live and work.

Rosenberg Clinic | Kelsey-Seybold Clinic

Located near the Brazos Town Center at Kians Way and the Southwest Freeway, this clinic offers Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, and OB/GYN. In 2025, more specialties will be added, including Orthopedics, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Neurology, and Cardiology.

Upper Kirby Clinic | Kelsey-Seybold Clinic

Located at W. Alabama Street and Kirby Drive, this clinic provides Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, and Pediatrics. It has space for 18 providers and will soon add specialties like Dermatology, Pulmonology, Endocrinology, Orthopedics, and Optometry.

Industry News

The Medicare Advantage (MA) market is changing in big ways, affecting both brokers and payers. Brokers are dealing with higher member turnover and uncertainty about compensation, making it important to find new ways to keep members engaged. At the same time, payers face challenges like tighter budgets, new regulations, and an aging population. This makes it more important than ever to focus on coordinating care.

The future of MA will depend on providing high-quality, cost-effective, and personalized experiences for members. KCA is committed to adapting to these changes by improving the customer experience and working with you, our agents, to help you better connect with your clients.

Compliance in Focus: Avoiding Deceptive Sales Practices

A group of insurance companies was recently caught breaking consumer protection laws by using deceptive practices. They tricked people into buying extra health insurance they didn’t need. These companies made it seem like their agents were unbiased and claimed their services were free when they weren’t. They also bundled extra insurance with major medical plans, making it hard for customers to know what they were actually buying.

The court said these actions were especially harmful to vulnerable consumers and ordered the companies to pay $165 million. Of that, $50 million will go back to consumers, and the rest will cover penalties. These actions happened before a larger healthcare company bought the group in 2019.

It’s important for agents to follow consumer protection laws to avoid serious legal and financial consequences. Being honest, clear, and transparent with customers is key to running a fair and ethical business.
